In May of 2003, following a seven-year effort, the Port of Chelan County closed on its purchase of the former WI Forest Products mill site in Peshastin. The acquisition of this 60-acre site, which fronts the Wenatchee River, allows the Port to utilize the 40 acres of developable land for economic development.
Paul Sorenson of BST Associates has been hired to produce a feasibility study on the financial impacts and benefits of a fully developed Peshastin Business Park, as well as other short and long-term options for the site.
